1.Appearance inspection method

New formwork: The surface is basically no scratches, no depression or deformation, the oxide layer is uniform and complete, showing a uniform metallic luster, no local color difference; All edges and corners sharp, straight edges without wear, no collision marks;

Refurbished formwork: There are often small scratches, there may be not obvious dent or repair marks, the oxide layer may appear uneven phenomenon, and the gloss difference in local areas is obvious; The edges and corners are often slightly round and blunt, and the edges may appear small deformation or wear.

2.Formwork thickness measurement

Using precision calipers to measure multiple points.

The thickness of the new formwork is uniform and in line with the nominal value.

The refurbished formwork may reduce local thickness due to wear and tear, and the measured values vary greatly at different points.

3.Check the holes and connecting parts

New plate: all hole edges are neat, no deformation or expansion phenomenon

Refurbished version: The connection holes may be slightly deformed, with use wear marks on the edges

4.Flatness test

Place the template on a horizontal platform, and the new board should fit completely without warping

The refurbished version may be slightly deformed due to the use of stress, and there may be local non-fit phenomenon

5.Structural strength

New formwork: The overall structural strength is high, no local deformation. Refurbished formwork: Local deformation or strength loss may occur due to past use, especially in high-stress areas.
